Easter at Saint Michael’s

The Great Vigil of Easter

Saturday, Apr. 8
8:00 PM in-person only

This is the most solemn night of the Christian year, and we invite you to experience the lighting of the New Fire and the Paschal Candle, chanting of the Exsultet, and Holy Scripture. The Proclamation of the Resurrection heralds the arrival of flowers and brightening of the lights; the first Eucharist of Easter follows.

Sunday, April 9
• 9:00 in-person & livestream
• 11:00 AM in-person & livestream
• Egg hunt follows the 11:00 AM service only

Note service times!

Proclaim the good news of the risen Christ! The choir, accompanied by organ, will sing An Anthem for Easter by early American composer William Billings, A Repeating Alleluia by Calvin Hampton, and Peter Hallock’s setting of Psalm 118. Festive hymns for congregation, choir, and organ include Jesus Christ is risen today; Alleluia, O sons and daughters, let us sing; Come, ye faithful, raise the strain; and, He is risen, he is risen! Don your brightest, spring colors and bring some bells from home to ring during the service!

We will offer an egg hunt after the 11:00 AM service—rain or shine.
Bring an egg basket from home; we have a limited supply of paper bags.

Both Easter services will be available on Vimeo, the website, or Facebook Live.
